Further Comments: The West Midlands Ghost Club carried out an investigation that recorded the sound of female vocals in June. Returning in September, they recorded a clanging noise which ended in a loud bang.

Date / Time: Circa 1777
Further Comments: Elizabeth Brown died aged 92 in 1777 and was buried in a wooded area close to her home. After she was spotted wandering the area, it was decided that Elizabeth should be buried in the churchyard. She returned once more, this time sitting on a large stone, frightening passersby. A team of parsons gathered and together banished Elizabeth's ghost into a bottle which was then buried inside the church.

Further Comments: A witness spotted a human-shaped misty apparition along this road. They originally thought the mist was water vapour rising from the road as it was warm, but the weather was also dry and very windy. The witness used the road almost every day, but only once observed the phenomenon.

Further Comments: The church was supposed to be built on top of a hill, but every night the stones were moved to the bottom by an unknown force. The church was constructed at that place instead.

Further Comments: Two giants stored their gold in a large, locked chest under the castle. One giant managed to drop the key in the castle moat, where it is said to remain to this day. The chest must be approached with the key in hand, to do so otherwise invites an attack from a huge raven.

Further Comments: Clear CCTV footage taken at Blockleys showed a large (around two meters in length) black cat stalking the neighbourhood. The RSPCA stated the creature was indeed a puma. Another witness spotted the creature in woodland at the bottom of their garden.

Further Comments: Travelling along the road, a driver and his passenger spotted a white glowing figure which crossed the road ahead of their car. The figure broke apart as if made from dandelion seeds. The driver said that the figure he observed was in her mid-20s, although the passenger described her as looking old and evil.

Further Comments: The tortured cries of persons unknown can often be heard coming from under this building, sometimes drowned out by the singing of hymns. The photographer Lawson Clout spotted a ghostly monk here in 2004, though the figure vanished before he had a chance to take any images. Further Comments: On two occasions, a tall male silhouetted figure was observed by occupant of this property through the downstairs window. When investigated, no one could be found inside. The occupant would also feel something following them up the staircase.

Further Comments: After hearing rustling in nearby bushes, a walker approached closer only to hear loud cat-like screeching. As they backed away, a large black cat with yellow eyes was spotted.

Further Comments: CCTV footage caught a pile of boxes falling unaided, some declaring that the supernatural was at work (and others declaring they were just poorly stacked).

Further Comments: Several giants once met on the hill and proceeded to fight. The large stones which are scattered around the area are the leftover missiles that the giants tossed at each other (in reality they are the remains of a hillfort).

Further Comments: Plates would throw themselves onto the floor, loaves of bread 'attacked' people, and, most disturbingly, the baby's cradle caught fire, with the infant in it.

Further Comments: Photographed by Tony O'Rahilly during the fire that engulfed the town hall, the girl can be seen in the flames - an impossible position for a living person. Months after the blaze, builders continued to report a ghostly figure on the site. However, an old postcard came to light in 2010 which shows a young girl identical to the ghost in the photo, proving that the original photograph was a composite image.

Further Comments: A son who murdered his father dragged the body through a hedge along this road to hide it. The following day, the hedge opened and revealed the body. From that day onwards, no matter what was done to close the gap, it would always be reopened by the following day.

Further Comments: A rockslide here trapped a band of brigands and their loot in a cave. If you stand on the rocks and say 'Ippikin, Ippikin, keep away with your long chin', the leader of the gang appears and tries to push you off the edge of the cliff. It was also once said that lights would flit around the area at night, as if the long-dead brigands still patrolled the area.

Further Comments: A family of giants once lived at Red Castle, until killed by King Arthur and his knights. A nearby brook ran red with blood for three days after the fight.

Further Comments: The phantom notes of a piano were heard for several nights, drifting from the unmanned civic centre. An investigation failed to find the cause of the noise.
