Further Comments: The building was thought to be haunted by a woman, and the sounds of children, the latter heard by a waiter on two occasions. The haunting ceased after a priest instructed the waiter to sleep with holy water and rosary beads under his pillow.

Further Comments: The then owner of the property, Lt Col Carter, requested that his rates be reduced due to a ghost on the property that would lessen the value. A chambermaid who committed suicide on the site was reportedly seen several times by the Lt Col, though the building was also the haunt of a monk or friar dressed in brown habit.

Further Comments: A dragon terrorised the neighbourhood around the hill after demanding a sacrifice of sheep - the locals had given him milk instead. Before long, a dependable knight of yore came along, covered his armour with birdlime (a sticky substance made from bark) and powered glass, and the engaged the creature. The knight may have won the fight, but his two hunting dogs were killed, and he later died of dragon-inflected injuries.

Further Comments: While driving around lost, looking for a road sign, a couple passed a patch of purple/blue smoke, around 2 metres by 3 metres in diameter, hovering around 2 metres off the ground. They drove back to have another look, but the smoke had gone.

Further Comments: Filmed by a witness for several minutes, a round ball of white light darted around the sky. The light changed shape and size several times before finally disappearing behind a dark cloud.

Further Comments: During the demolition of the house, a builder spotted a woman with a sad expression standing in the old kitchen. The figure vanished as the builder slowly stepped away. The builder later learned that a colleague had also spotted the figure standing on the staircase landing.

Further Comments: While living, this nun broke her vows and escaped from the abbey, though returned several years later seeking repentance... She was promptly bricked up alive (like so many other ghostly nuns) so now this figure drifts around a room on the site.

Further Comments: A six year old ran back to his mother, claiming to have spotted a male grey figure with no face, wearing a hat, walking around a wooded area close by. As they drove away, the child said he could still see the figure from the car window, walking across a nearby field, close to something metal sticking out of the ground.

Further Comments: A man clad in dark clothing and holding an umbrella took up haunting this area, vanishing into thin air if approached. Some considered the entity a real person, with one man writing to the local newspaper and threatened to shoot the entity if seen.

Further Comments: Moving at breakneck speed, this phantom coach leaves the park, passing through the walls, just before midnight on the last day of the year. A newspaper story from 1940 claimed villagers were disappointed after they stayed up until after midnight and the entity failed to manifest.
