A ghostly caped man and his dog.

Further Comments: More frequently seen in the nineteenth century, this ghostly gentleman, complete with cape and cane, could be seen walking his dog around the estate. It was thought that he had suffered a heart attack and broken his neck while falling down a set of steps. There is also a local story that a death of an heir of the Shrewsbury family is always preceded by the appearance of a ghostly old gypsy on the estate.

Further Comments: A figure dressed in black walked by two men out early one morning. The men turned to have another look, but the figure had vanished.

Fairies ready to move a church.
Location: Walsall - St Matthew's Church

Further Comments: The fairies took a dislike to where the church was going to be built, so moved the foundation stones to the top of the hill where the church was finally built.

A Hand of Glory - an object used by burglars to ensure everyone in a house slept heavy.
Location: Walsall - White Hart Inn, Caldmore Green

Further Comments: A mummified arm of a young child (a hand of glory) was once found in the attic of the inn and it is believed the spirit of the infant still haunts the room, causing strange banging and leaving handprints in dust.

Further Comments: The hill here is reportedly home to the little people, who spend the night-time hours dancing on the summit.

Further Comments: Poltergeist activities have been reported by a paranormal team based in the Inn, including knocking which answers questions, voices caught on recording devices, fleeting shadows, and small objects which move across surfaces. A young girl has also been observed dancing by the fireplace and a toothless old man sits in a corner.

Further Comments: This building is haunted by the sounds of a Clavichord (similar to a Harpsichord) and by a phantom stable groom.

Further Comments: This strange black creature with glowing white eyes leapt onto the back of a horse pulling a cart - when its owner tried to hit the mysterious creature, his whip passed straight through its body.
