Stalking Hound

Further Comments: Cycling from his home towards the RAF base, John Harries was stalked by a black dog. The hound stopped when Harries stopped, although it vanished when Harries reached the base.

Further Comments: Locally known as 'Old Trash', this black dog bounds along the dunes leaving no prints or marks in the soft sand. He was last seen by two journalists and a photographer, though it is unclear whether an image was caught of the entity.

Further Comments: Believed to have occurred in 1602, a miller was harassed by the Devil. The Fallen Angel tried to talk to the miller, who refused to stop working. The Devil gave up, turning into a large black dog before running away.

Black Dog

Location: Garndiffaith (Gwent) - Varteg Road, Coombs Cross

Further Comments: One witness claimed to have encountered a black dog while walking along the road. The witness tried to stroke it, but his hand passed through the creature. The dog then walked alongside the man until he reached Coombs Cross, when it jumped eight feet (2.4 metres) into the air and disappeared into the cemetery.

Running Dog

Location: Geldeston (Norfolk) - Lover's Lane, leading to the churchyard

Further Comments: The small lane leading to the local churchyard is reputedly home to a phantom hound - the creature has been spotted running along the lane. It is thought that the location that the hound appears will soon be the site of a crime. A ghostly donkey seen here may be the same entity. The same area is also haunted by a haunted coach as it travels towards Bungay Castle.

Wicked Parson

Further Comments: Last seen sitting on a verge along Dogs Lane with glowing eyes, this phantom hound is thought to be a holy man with less than holy tendencies. The entity was also reported outside the church in 1913.

Dog with Long Legs

Further Comments: A woman reported seeing a strange dog-like creature with long legs on two different occasions around Gorleston. When she spotted the creature the second time running down the High Street, it vanished without trace.

Large Running Dog

Location: Gorleston-on-Sea (Norfolk) - Along beach, half a mile from the Gorleston Rescue Headquarters

Further Comments: While on duty at the HQ, Graham Grant watched a large black dog running in the sand, pausing every now and then to look around. It vanished without warning, in the middle of the beach.
