Further Comments: One report sent to the Paranormal Database stated that both patients and nurses on one ward spotted a hooded monk-like figure. In 2021 two patients spotted a small, hooded form drift in a ward, leaving both witnesses shocked. Another report says a day room is home to an entity which pushes down on people's chests.

Further Comments: A white figure was spotted walking in the thick mud (which is impossible to walk in at a normal pace). The person vanished after being watched for around 15 seconds. A local legend has it that the area suffered a tsunami years ago and all the bodies apart from one were washed out to sea.

Further Comments: A group of four friends watched a trio of nuns drift across the field ahead of them. The ghosts moved in a perfectly straight line apart from one ninety degree turn, before vanishing.

Further Comments: Phantom nuns were seen walking through the courtyard, while in other areas, disembodied footfalls have occurred. One local legend says that whenever Friday falls on the thirteenth of a month, one carpet on the site develops a bloodstain which vanishes as the day ends.

Further Comments: Bertha Ramsey, a 6 foot tall matron at the campus, was found dead at the base of a set of stairs in 1962 - it was unsure whether she tripped or if she was pushed. Her ghost has been seen and is blamed for playing with the elevators after dark. Another ghost observed on site is that of a Roman centurion, as the building was constructed on the site of an ancient burial site.

Further Comments: Marget yr Yspryd gained her nickname 'Haunted Margaret' after being jilted at the alter - she fell to her knees in the church and prayed that the man who betrayed her would never find rest. The man died shortly after, and his ghost took to following Margaret. One of Margaret's friends suggested talking to the ghost and forgiving him. Soon after, Margaret met the ghost at a footbridge - she absolved him, and the ghost disappeared forever.

Further Comments: Miners refused to work alone after a ghostly figure with a naked light in its forehead was observed tapping the roof and sides of a tunnel. One newspaper claimed the figure could only be seen from one direction.

Further Comments: In 2014, the Spectral Quest company reported recording the sounds of laughter and the word 'Laurel' using EVP equipment. A tall man was also caught on thermal camera and an investigator reported feeling a hand touch their leg. In 2021 the disembodied voice of a man singing within the bar area could be heard along with a girl crying in the portrait room and footsteps on the landing. A year later, a male figure was observed walking the downstairs corridor. A local legend declared the site haunted by a former executioner.

Further Comments: While staying the night in a family home with a friend, one witness watched the bedroom door open and a Victorian woman stand in the doorway. After a while, the woman vanished; the witness climbed out of bed and looked around but could not find anyone. Later that night, the witness awoke to see the woman again, this time standing over them. The woman said 'you will be okay' before disappearing. The witness's story was told to the family the following morning, who produced an old photograph of their mother - the image of the ghostly visitor.

Further Comments: A couple walking their dog at night spotted the clear figure of a tall man hovering near a wooded area. The figure disappeared behind a felled tree.

Further Comments: A child who had climbed to the top of the belfry was struck and killed by a church bell. This resulted in the bell becoming home to demons which took the item into Annwn, the otherworld. When a child in the neighbourhood is accidently killed, the bell can be heard ringing.

Further Comments: A schoolgirl would dance with fairies under a crab apple tree, initially believing them to be other children, but eventually accepting them as fairy folk. After the novelty wore off, she gave up dancing with the fairies, but this displeased them; they dislocated her leg.

Further Comments: Walking with her dog through a wooded area, Anne Jenkins encountered a horrible looking dark man by a holly tree. Anne's dog approached the figure but ran back to her side when after a long black tongue emerged from the man. She quickly walked away and avoided the area on her return journey, although spotted him in the distance, looking 'big in the middle and thin at the ends'. The creature vanished, but not before letting out a whistle so loud it echoed around the area.

Further Comments: A phantom musician reportedly haunts this building, particularly the area where a library once stood. The ghost is thought to be William Herbert, the first Earl of Pembroke.

Further Comments: While walking by the river, Mr Morgan heard horses approaching from behind but could not see anything. As the sound reached him, Morgan leapt to one side and watched as a team of horses pulling a coach appear from nowhere. The coach contained a woman who looked out of the window at the witness. Instead of following the road, the coach entered nearby woodland and vanished.

Further Comments: Heralded by the sounds of a baby crying, a phantom woman holding a baby is said to slowly emerge from this pond. Soon after, a large black dog, which may or may not be headless, circles the pool before heading to a nearby ruined kiln.

Further Comments: Tom, the Squire of Redwick, was found dead in a ditch after a drunken night out on the town. His ghost started to appear soon after, stealing cider from local brewers and staggering around the village. A team of twelve ministers finally banished the entity.

Further Comments: A tall ghostly woman dressed in yellow and with a malignant face was observed by an officer in the hall. Six others stayed up on night to see if they could encounter the entity, which they did.

Further Comments: The coal deposits in the valley are said to have been discovered by fairies after they killed a giant which was attacking their homes. The giant was assassinated as he slept, and the fairies set fire to his body; they realised that the ground continued to burn after their enemy's body had turned to ash.
