Moped

Location: Upton Scudamore (Wiltshire) - Farm track, opposite a lane leading down to Upton Scudamore
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 09 October 1976
Further Comments: On a dense, foggy night, author Andrew Collins (pictured) and a team of four other paranormal researchers encountered a small light that moved a few feet off the ground, rather like the headlamp of a moped. The light vanished into an area blocked by low hedgerow, and when they examined the ground the following morning, there was no evidence of tread prints.

Burning Triangle

Location: W5 (Greater London) - Uxbridge Road, Ealing
Type: UFO
Date / Time: July 2006
Further Comments: Five office workers watched a triangular object with burning corners move across the sky from north to south. They only watched the ufo for a few seconds before it faded into the distance, moving at high speed.

Cross Shape

Location: Wantage (Oxfordshire) - Skies above town
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 14 December 1970, and 1976
Further Comments: This flying object, observed through a telescope, consisted of five balls of light in a cross shape. One ball of light shot away, whilst the others quickly vanished. Six years later, another UFO resembling a glowing, white oval was seen before transforming into a delta shape and flying off at speed.

UFO Capital

Location: Warminster (Wiltshire) - Skies above town

Further Comments: To celebrate the countless UFO sightings over the town, the Marquis of Bath and the local tourist board officially called the town the UFO Capital of Britain.

Fireball

Location: Warmley (Somerset) - Skies over the village
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 6 March 1912
Further Comments: A fireball with three points was seen speeding across the sky. The witness said that the object was like an aircraft.

Location: Warrington (Cheshire) - Drayton Road, Risley exit from the motorway, and Warrington Road
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 17 March 1978
Further Comments: A driver pulled over to watch a two metre tall creature, dressed in silver and with thin beams of light coming from its large eyes, as it moved along the embankment by the side of the road. When the witness arrived home, he discovered that he had 'lost' almost an hour. Just prior to the driver's sighting, a local woman spotted the figure from her garden as it walked through the former munitions factory on Warrington Road.

Heptagon

Location: Warrington (Cheshire) - Skies over the area

Further Comments: From their back garden, a witness watched a dark grey heptagon shape silently fly over their house.

Hovering Triangle

Location: Welwyn Garden City (Hertfordshire) - Sky over city
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 1992
Further Comments: Two friends spotted a triangular shaped ufo hovering over a lake. The craft tilted upwards before simply vanishing, resulting in the friends running home without looking back.

Zigzagging Lights

Location: West Bromwich (West Midlands) - Sky over Hateley Heath
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 25 July 1997
Further Comments: This witness observed between ten and twenty slow moving lights zigzagging across the sky in formation. Each light was semi-transparent, yellow with a red centre and moved silently from the south east, heading towards Walsall.

Giant Meteorite

Location: Weston-super-Mere (Somerset) - Skies over the town
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 10 January 1869
Further Comments: A large fireball was seen passing overhead. Several hours later there were a series of shockwaves that were attributed to an earth tremor.

Green Disk

Location: Whiteshill (Gloucestershire) - Skies above the village
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 04 October 2018
Further Comments: Several observers watched the fluorescent green ufo as it hovered over the area. A driver on a nearby road managed to photograph the object.

Greenish Grey Craft

Location: Wilmslow (Cheshire) - Behind Hooper's, Alderley Road
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 04:10h, 07 January 1966
Further Comments: While patrolling the town centre, PC Colin Perks spotted a hovering craft that glowed a greenish grey colour. Colin said the UFO was around thirty foot long and that he could see portholes along the side. After several seconds it flew off.

Man in Silver Suit

Location: Winchester (Hampshire) - Chilcomb Road, near the A272
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 14 November 1974
Further Comments: A couple out driving had to pull over as their car it began to shake out of control. They noticed a large cigar shaped object with three faces peering out nearby, and a bearded man dressed in a silver suit moving towards them. The strange entities then vanished, and the couple were able to drive away normally.

Ballerina Alien

Location: Winchester (Hampshire) - Under the Guildhall clock
Type: UFO
Date / Time: January or February 2004
Further Comments: Councillor Adrian Hicks recalled in 2009 his encounter with an alien entity along a busy street. He described the creature as having large oval eyes, looking almost human, and wearing a tutu. The alien shuffled along the street like a penguin.

CE I

Location: Woodbridge (Suffolk) - Road out to Martlesham from Woodbridge
Type: UFO
Date / Time: 1980s
Further Comments: A triangular UFO was seen slowly floating towards the ground, several independent witnesses reporting it as a crashed aircraft. No aeroplanes were reported missing, nor any wreckage found.

Zig Zagging Light

Location: Yeovil (Somerset) - Road through Stoford
Type: UFO
Date / Time: Winter 2015, and Summer 2018
Further Comments: On two occasions, a witness travelling through the area observed a bright light flying low in a zig zag motion. During the second sighting, the witness checked their flight tracker app, but the craft did not appear. On both occasions, the witness found online comments that other people had seen the lights.
