The witnesses tried to give chase in a car, but the object had vanished.

Type: UFO
Date / Time: November or December 2003
Further Comments: A rumour floating around on the internet said that a cigar-shaped ufo, around six metres in length, was forced down by two RAF fighters. The crashed craft deeply embedded itself in mud, and rather move it straight away, authorities buried the ufo with the intent to move it once interest died down. Whether this happened is unknown.

Anchor

Location: Clonmacnoise (County Offaly) - Unknown church
Type: UFO
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: During Mass, the congregation at this church were interrupted as an anchor dropped from the sky and caught on the church door. The people investigated and spotted a ship floating above them; one of the crew diving overboard and swimming towards them through the air towards the anchor. The congregation grabbed the sailor, but the bishop demanded that they let him go. As the group released the man, he floated upwards and once on board the ship, someone cut the rope attached to the anchor - the ship sailed off into the sky. County councillor Robert Palmer reported seeing a round white light which hovered near the area, while the media reported that John Harrison had seen a massive ball of light with something akin to tentacles reaching for the ground. While the 'ufo hit our turbine' stories were popular with the media, there is a high chance that the blade just fell off, hitting the second blade as it fell.
