Further Comments: Once a year, on an unconfirmed night, a team of six horses draw a coach containing a faceless bride. During her lifetime, the bride is said to have jilted at the altar, resulting in her suicide a short time later. Now in death her ghost drives around the area looking for the man who betrayed her.

Further Comments: Legend says that the chest next to the west door once contained the remains of a bride trapped inside after a game of hide and seek went wrong. She is reported to emerge once a year to join in with the church choir.

Further Comments: After a murder of a newlywed bride, this house was left to fall into ruin. Some people reported that a glowing candle could be seen moving past various windows, while others claimed a ghostly wedding party occurred. The Hall is now lost below the waters of the flooded valley of Thirlmere, which is home to a phantom dog which swims through the water. In 2013 a witness camping in the area became unnerved after witnessing two silently moving lights along the road.

Further Comments: In a story that appears several times throughout the UK, a newly wedded bride played hide and seek with her guests, only to disappear... A few years later her mummified body was found in a chest in the loft, the spring mounted lid trapping her inside.

Further Comments: The decapitated ghost caused one witness to faint as it ascended the staircase and headed towards the viewer. A local legend states that the ghostly woman and her lover both committed suicide the day before she was due to be married to another man. The building has a history of phantom footsteps and doors that open themselves.
