Fairy Feast

Princess Cicely

Further Comments: Never seen, but her presence is announced at night when her invisible form is felt sitting on the end of a bed.
Smuggler

Further Comments: The shadowy form of a smuggler is reputed to haunt this inn.
Searchlight

Further Comments: A former searchlight tower is said to still beam down a beam of light, even though no light source is contained within. The phantom sounds of a small group of men running down a corridor have also been heard.
Vectis Monster

Further Comments: An early ABC report from the UK, this creature was said to have a head of a lion, though the body resembled a dog. Deaths were reported in the local livestock population.
Consumptive Girl
Location: Ventnor - Botanic Gardens (former TB hospital)

Further Comments: Once the home of patients with TB, several of these unfortunates are said to remain, including a little girl and an older man who once engaged a worker on site in conversation.
Horse and Pedestrian
Location: Ventnor - Old Park Road

Date / Time: Pre 1921
Further Comments: One local reported witnessing a phantom horse pass by, closely followed by the sounds of footsteps in pursuit of the creature. During the 1920s, two skeletons were discovered close to site of the haunting.
Green Lady

Further Comments: Blamed for the creation of cold spots and disembodied footsteps, the green lady is reputed to haunt this hotel.

Brewer

Three Wishes

Further Comments: This wishing well must be approached walking backwards, without turning the head. Once there, a sip of the water ensured three wishes.

Further Comments: A fruit machine is said to be haunted in this inn; it has been heard paying out after everyone has left for the night and the power cut off.
Mad Monk

Further Comments: Little is known about this figure that has appeared many times over the ages, though the ghost was heard walking around the cellar by a team from Isle of Wight Ghost Investigations in mid-2005.
