Further Comments: Miss Sheridan was very proud of the flowers and trees which lined her driveway. After her death, the new owners removed and sold all the plants. Miss Sheridan manifested to one of the owners and complained about the destruction before vanishing. The new owners subsequently had a run of bad luck and eventually sold the house and moved to America.

Further Comments: The Black Pig's Dyke stretches across six counties, and in County Cavan it is known as The Worm Ditch in the (former) belief it was created by a huge worm crossing the lands.

Further Comments: According to the Belfast Telegraph, former billionaire Sean Quinn moved the Aughrim Wedge Tomb in 1992, which was home to fairy folk. These little entities cursed the man responsible for the relocation - Sean was at one point worth just under five billion euros, and as of November 2011, he only had eleven thousand euros in the bank.

Further Comments: Mrs Stout was seen going to bed, apparently fine, but found dead the following morning. Her body was heavily burnt, with parts not altered by fire crumbling when touched. Her nightdress remained undamaged by the fire. An inquest determined she had 'died by the visitation of God'.

Further Comments: A man who accidently shot a colleague drowned himself in a pool; his ghost hung around the area for a while afterwards.

Further Comments: The ghost of a murdered man manifested along this roadside and prevented his killer from receiving a lift from a passing horse and cart.

Further Comments: A leprechaun who lived in the fort was caught by a local farmer who tried (unsuccessfully) to discover where the entity had hidden its treasure.

Further Comments: Sionnan, daughter of the God of the Sea, visited this site to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. After the first bite, a pool of water bubbled up and swallowed her, ultimately creating the River Shannon.

Further Comments: Reputedly eel-like with a horse-like head, the Oillipheist carved out the Shannon River while trying to escape Saint Patrick.

Further Comments: A coach pulled by ghostly horses is said to manifest in the area when a death is due.
Location: Killykeen - Lough Erne waterway

Further Comments: After brushing against a swimmer, the creature thought to lurk in this lough was accidently photographed by local man Sean Walsh. The beast has been described as over two metres long with a spiky head. Others have speculated the creature is not a monster but a Wells catfish or a pike.

Further Comments: Sarah was a 1780s servant girl engaged in a secret love affair with the son of the owners. She fell pregnant, and once this was discovered she was taken into the forest and hanged from the bridge. A horse and carriage is also reputed to haunt the site, as is an early twentieth century soldier.

Further Comments: As Paul Keon walked home, he encountered a ghostly priest who requested Paul take him to the Parish Priest's house. Paul did as asked; he escorted the ghost to the Parish Priest's house, knocked on the door and introduced the priests to each other. They had a conversation in Latin, after which the ghostly priest promptly vanished.

Further Comments: Sabrina, daughter of Richard Nugent, also known as the Black Baron, and Orwin were killed as they tried to elope and escape family politics in the days of old. En route, Orwin drowned and Sabrina died a few days later of a broken heart. Their ghosts haunt the area and may manifest in the form of screams and unnatural cold winds. The Black Baron's ghost is also reputed to haunt the area.
