Further Comments: A guest in the house awoke in the early hours and found the environment incredibly peaceful. After looking out of the window at the garden in the moonlight, they returned to bed, and just as the guest closed my eyes, there was a blood-curdling scream against their left ear. The voice was male, loud, and horrendous. The guest fled screaming from the room. The family who owned the house were very understanding and said the whole area was haunted.

Further Comments: Locked in the house by her mother after trying to run away with the stablehand, the ghost of Hetty remains trapped in the building. Another room in the building is reportedly haunted by a priest murdered by roundheads.

Further Comments: This phantom sailor, dressed in a dark blue donkey jacket resembling Second World War uniform, has been observed several times in the dining room. He always stands in front of the fireplace.

Further Comments: During a week in August several strange entities were seen, including a glowing square and a six foot high figure floating a metre above the ground, heading towards a local churchyard. A group of fifty (!) ghost hunters formed a circle around one misty shape, but it vanished.

Further Comments: A witness reported seeing a black panther moving through a rapeseed field in 2012, while in 2016, another couple reported seeing another black cat in the same area.

Further Comments: Late at night a shadowy figure was frequently seen moving from the entrance to the club through to the ballroom. Numerous witnesses, including local police officers, who insisted on investigating would never find anyone. Poltergeist activity was also reported in the club, including glasses breaking and temperature fluctuations. One man who dismissed the sightings tried to spend the night there - he fled after being overwhelmed by a sense of fear.

Further Comments: Several people reported seeing a ghost in a habit pass through a wall inside the prison complex. Staff at the prison have also reported feeling 'uneasy' at night.

Further Comments: One story says the mill is haunted by a phantom woman who drowned herself in the mill pond. The grounds of the nearby Bordesley Abbey, now ruined, once encompassed the land where the mill stands, which may explain the ghostly monks reported on both sites.

Further Comments: Alice either committed suicide or was murdered during the nineteenth century, in the old kitchen which is now the ladies' toilets. People have heard the breaking of plates, though nothing is ever found broken, and thuds and bangs in one of the toilet's cubicles. The disturbances stop if Alice is acknowledged.
