Further Comments: A couple spotted a male figure wearing contemporary clothing standing completely still in the middle of a viaduct bridge. Concerned for the man's safety, the couple called out 'are you okay?', only to watch him drift to the edge of the bridge and vanish before their eyes.

Further Comments: A private house, built on top of an old fisherman's track, became haunted by the overpowering smell of fish. A psychic investigator declared the building to be haunted by James, a fish merchant robbed on the site two hundred years previous.

Further Comments: A priest who took his own life in this building took to haunting the site, filling the family who lived here with dread and sadness. The entity would manifest, rattle doors, be heard walking around, create the smell of incense and once called out the name 'Betty'.

Further Comments: This park is said to be haunted by a figure wearing a habit near the gates of the lodge, a white lady who drowned in a lake while eloping, and a strange animal with very large eyes.

Further Comments: This Victorian dockyard, now a business hub, is reputedly home to phantom former dock workers who can be heard banging and clanging after dark.

Further Comments: A witness spotted a very bright white 'star' which turned bright red. As it grew closer, the object's shape resembled a massive glowing seagull. The wings did not flap, and the object glided silently. The air around the object glowed red as though surrounded by fog, even though the sky was extremely clear. The witness found it difficult to gauge the actual size but thought it exceptionally large. After between ten and fifteen minutes, the object disappeared towards Cornwall.

Further Comments: The bodies of these soldiers were moved to another site during the building's construction, and their ghosts were blamed for the strange goings-on around the studios.

Further Comments: Three flats were subjected to poltergeist damage. One set of occupants slept away from their home after the entity threw coal (even though coal was not stored on the site), while the occupants of the other two flats were served notice because of damage to their properties. Reverand J G Byrnell investigated the case and, after spending time in an empty flat and witnessing pieces of flying coal, urged all occupants to stay.

Further Comments: This shade would slam and lock doors. It manifested as a pair of eyes when the owner's brother died.

Further Comments: The villagers were going to build their church at Crownhill Castle, but the Devil created so much havoc during the laying of the foundations the building was relocated to where it now stands.

Further Comments: Local medium Mark Cheetham was asked to hold a 'clairvoyant evening' at this bowling alley in 2007 after staff reported seeing strange figures and experiencing poltergeist like activity.

Hairy Hands of Dartmoor.

Further Comments: The Hairy Hands of Dartmoor were blamed for several fatal road traffic accidents, after a motorcyclist who survived a crash reported a large pair of hands that appeared over his own and made him crash. A few years later, a woman reported seeing a large hairy hand crawling over her husband as he lay sleeping in a caravan. A small childlike figure has also been seen standing by the roadside, moving its arms as if trying to flag down passing drivers.

Further Comments: After drinking left over beer left outside the pub, the dog swaggered up the nearby hill and howled at the moon - the creature enjoyed the sensation so much, it has yet to quit its actions.

Further Comments: This phantom dog is said to resemble an albino wolfhound, though some say the entity is more likely to be a phantom deer.

Further Comments: Old Nick once popped into this public house for a quick pint during a storm. He resembled a normal man, apart from his cloven feet that were spotted by the landlady. While the Devil did pay for his drink, the money turned into old leaves the moment he left.

Further Comments: Several spooky occurrences have occurred here (though there are no 'regular' events), including an attack on one guest by 'evil' black cat that materialised in a bedroom, a phantom woman who overlooked a group of tourists before disappearing, and a hand that reached out of a solid wall.
