Further Comments: A white ball of light bounced across the bonnet of a car before entering the vehicle. The driver experienced distorted vision and headaches for a few days following the incident.

Further Comments: Fortean TV reported this superstore as possessing ghosts in its EPOS room and bakery.

Human Fireball

Location: Widnes - Halton College
Type: SHC
Date / Time: 1985
Further Comments: A girl walking down the stairs with a group of friends suddenly burst into flames. They quickly beat the flames out, but she later died of her injuries.

Banging

Location: Willaston - Private residence
Type: Poltergeist
Date / Time: 2007/8
Further Comments: Two brothers living in this house were subject to banging which emerged from the walls, loft, and doors. On one occasion, one resident was thrown out of bed after asking 'is that all the energy you have?' after feeling a small but constant vibration. The resident fled the room and told his brother of the event; the brother was overjoyed that he was not alone in experiencing the phenomenon.

Greenish Grey Craft

Location: Wilmslow - Behind Hooper's, Alderley Road

Further Comments: While patrolling the town centre, PC Colin Perks spotted a hovering craft that glowed a greenish grey colour. Colin said the UFO was around thirty feet long and that he could see portholes along the side. After several seconds it flew off.

Further Comments: It was claimed that the hall was both the birthplace of Anne Boleyn and where her ghost returned.

Door Opener

Location: Wilmslow - George and Dragon public house (no longer operating)
Type: Poltergeist
Date / Time: 1966 - 1976
Further Comments: As they were leaving, the publicans spoke to the press about their poltergeist, who opened doors, shook tables and moved pictures. One member of staff had fled the cellar after believing he had seen a ghost.

Young Woman in White

Further Comments: This unnamed woman managed to accidentally lance an artery and bled to death in the 1770s. Her phantom was last encountered by an Irish labourer who spotted her surrounded by mist.

Man in Overcoat

Location: Winsford - Bostock Road, Wharton Green

Further Comments: While cycling home, this witness spotted a man drifting along the road. The phantom wore a heavy long coat with a hat not too dissimilar to that which a cowboy would wear. The figure's legs were not visible. The witness watched the figure for around ten seconds and when eye contact was made, the apparition vanished.

Mirror Smasher

Further Comments: An orb was blamed for smashing a mirror in the toilets when no one was present - footage of the incident was uploaded to YouTube.

Victorian Child

Further Comments: Previous landlords were said to have encountered a Victorian child who wanders the corridors at night. The cellar is said to have a spooky atmosphere.

This pig could have also moved a church, but didn't want to.

Pig the Builder

Location: Winwick - Church

Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: The foundations of the church were set in another location, but a squealing pig moved them all in one night to the spot where St Oswald fell in battle. A carving of the pig exists in the church wall.

Hitchhiker in Leather

Location: Wybunbury - A51 near to the town

Further Comments: A driver picked up a male hitchhiker wearing old style motorbike leathers - a short while into the journey, the driver realised that the hitchhiker had vanished, though the seatbelt was still in place and the door locked.
