Home to the world’s most famous lake monster, the Highlands’ other paranormal aspects can sometimes be overlooked; much of the region’s mythology centres on the lochs and their occupants, be they ghostly or cryptozoological. It is also one of the few places in the UK that lays claim to werewolves - some remote pockets of the Scottish Highlands may best be left unexplored.
