Monks in a field

Location: Winchcombe (Gloucestershire) - Belas Knap, a long barrow situated above the town
Type: Environmental Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: One visitor to the site stated she looked across the fields and watched a group of monks approaching the barrow. She left for a few minutes, and on her return realised that the field now looked different; shorter grass, fewer trees, and the figures had vanished. The area around the barrow is locally acknowledged to be 'strange'. The road running by Belas Knap is said to be haunted by a blue figure which unnerves drivers as it steps on into their paths.
