Further Comments: The occupants of this property reported, bangs, knocks and cold spots, while one of them awoke one night to felt something sitting at the end of the bed. A visiting medium said that the site was haunted by either two nuns or teachers. The occupants never felt they were in danger.

Further Comments: Angeline Tubbs gained her reputation as a witch in American, where she is said to have been able to summon storms, but she was born in this public house.

Further Comments: Shortly after dying, a gamekeeper would manifest under a tree opposite a set of gates at midnight. A parson was told the story and investigated, visiting the site at night. Calling out for the ghost, the parson was met with instruction to dig at the site. The parson did so, and found a bag filled with coins. The gamekeeper was never seen again.

Further Comments: Standing above a pond, the carved figure called Stone Moses animates at midnight and walks down to the River Ise for a quick drink.

Further Comments: A teenage medium alleged to have spoken to the ghost of Cromwell in the hotel, who is said to have once used the building as a base of operations for a few days.

Further Comments: This figure has been seen by cleaning staff after closing time, since the building was a cinema, and floating balls of light have also been reported. Some believe that he haunted the area long before construction of the building begun.

Further Comments: The ghost in a field by the church was said to have been tricked into a bottle by members of the local clergy who cast it into a well. The ghost managed to escape and continued to haunt the area.

Further Comments: The Old House was once believed to be haunted by Sir George and a nun, who both appeared after gravestones were removed. Nothing has been heard of these ghosts as of late.

Further Comments: The owner of this cottage was kept awake at night by lights which darted around her bedroom. She also encountered the apparition of a man which disappeared from the waist down, whom she nicknamed George. George did not return after a minister said prayers in the building.

Further Comments: Appearing only once, Andrew's ghost pointed to an area on a wall, which proved to be a secret compartment containing a human heart and a once stolen chalice. A photograph taken by a couple of teenagers in the 1960s showed a greenish transparent figure kneeling by the altar, while in the early 2000s a female witness reported seeing a white shape approach her from the same area in broad daylight.
