A local story states that the Clinc is haunted by a white lady who tries to pull people into the water.
Willaston - Private residence
Two brothers living in this house were subjecting to banging which emerged from the walls, loft, and doors. On one occasion, one resident was thrown out of bed after asking 'is that all the energy you have?' after feeling a small but constant vibration. The resident fled the room and told his brother of the event; the brother was overjoyed that he was not alone in experiencing the phenomenon.
Wilmslow - Behind Hooper's, Alderley Road

While patrolling the town centre, PC Colin Perks spotted a hovering craft that glowed a greenish grey colour. Colin said the UFO was around thirty foot long and that he could see portholes along the side. After several seconds it flew off.

Wilmslow - Bollin Hall (demolished nineteenth century, likely a railway viaduct now stands on the site)
It was claimed that the hall was both the birthplace of Anne Boleyn and where her ghost returned.
Winnington - Winnington Hall
This unnamed woman managed to accidentally lance an artery and bled to death in the 1770s. Her phantom was last encountered by an Irish labourer who spotted her surrounded by mist.
Winsford - Bostock Road, Wharton Green

While cycling home, this witness spotted a man drifting along the road. The phantom wore a heavy long coat with a hat not too dissimilar to that which a cowboy would wear. The figure's legs were not visible. The witness watched the figure for around ten seconds and when eye contact was made, the apparition vanished.
Winsford - De.bees nightclub
An orb was blamed for smashing a mirror in the toilets when no one was present - footage of the incident was uploaded to YouTube.
Winsford - Old Star Inn
Previous landlords were said to have encountered a Victorian child who wanders the corridors at night. The cellar is said to have a spooky atmosphere.
Winwick - Church
The foundations of the church were set in another location, but a squealing pig moved them all in one night to the spot where St Oswald had fallen. A carving of the pig exists in the church wall.
Wybunbury - A51 near to the town

A driver picked up a male hitchhiker wearing old style motorbike leathers - a short while into the journey, driver realised that the hitcher had vanished, though the seatbelt was still in place and the door was locked.
