Little Girl

Further Comments: Photographed by Tony O'Rahilly during the fire that engulfed the town hall, the girl can be seen in the flames - an impossible position for a living person. Months after the blaze, builders continued to report a ghostly figure on the site. However, an old postcard came to light in 2010 which shows a young girl identical to the ghost in the photo, proving that the original photograph was a composite image (ie hoax).

Trapped Bandits

Further Comments: A rockslide here trapped a band of brigands and their loot in a cave. If you stand on the rocks holding them and say 'Ippikin, Ippikin, keep away with your long chin', the leader of the gang appears and tries to kill you.

Pianist

Location: Whitchurch - Civic Centre
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Twentieth century
Further Comments: The phantom notes of a piano were heard for several nights, drifting from the unmanned civic centre. An investigation failed to find the cause of the noise.

Voice of a Girl

Location: Whitchurch - Old Eagles

Further Comments: While the building was being investigated by a paranormal group, the voice of a young girl in the main cellar was recorded on video via CCTV.

Small Children

Location: Whittington - Whittington Castle

Further Comments: Seen peaking out from the gatehouse windows, these children are never found when looked for.
