Further Comments: This cowled figure has been seen drifting around the outside of the church by many of the local villages, a few reporting that it travelled several centimetres above the ground.

Further Comments: Heading towards an old USAAF airfield, this car full of military personnel slowly fades from view as travels the road.

Lady Jane Stanhope

Date / Time: Prior to personal disaster
Further Comments: This white lady, condemned to haunt the area where she murdered her gardener after he accidentally killed a plant, only appears to those who are due to die within a few months.

Celtic Heads
Location: Hexham - Exact location not known

Date / Time: 1972
Further Comments: Two small stone heads (first identified as Celtic, but later declared modern in their making) caused havoc after they were discovered in a council house garden and brought inside the home. Strange lights were seen, glass and mirrors shattered, and a strange half human creature was seen lurking in the shadows. An archaeologist took the objects to study, and also reported the same occurrences.

Loud Footsteps

Further Comments: A witness reported hearing disembodied footfalls which scared him away while photographing the building. Earlier the same day, he and two others had heard strange sounds coming from the tower.

Short Housemaid

Further Comments: Loitering outside the kitchen door, this dark figure is described as resembling an old servant. She is also blamed for the footsteps that sometimes echo around the house.

Further Comments: This pub is reputedly haunted by a monk which manifests in the ladies toilets and in the upper floors of the building.

Seven Whistlers

Further Comments: The Seven Whistlers are said to be the souls of the Jews who aided in the crucifixion doomed to wander the earth, and are heard prior to a great disaster. When heard here, they warned of a huge colliery explosion that occurred in Wigan the following day.

Little Boy

Further Comments: Several entities are said to haunt this location, including a little boy whose reflection is seen in a mirror. A white mist has also been reported in the bar area, while whispers can be heard in empty rooms late at night.

Navvies

Further Comments: During the construction of the Kilsby tunnel three drunken navvies fell to their deaths down one of the ventilation shafts. Their shades are still thought to lurk in the area.

Headless Cyclist

Further Comments: Hit by a car on a cold winter's night around 1915, this cyclist appears when the weather conditions match those in which he died. The accident decapitated him, hence his present form.

Bagpiper

Further Comments: Standing over the lonely grave of a highlander killed during an uprising, this piper appears unwilling to let people forget about the grassy mound.

Sir Augustine Nicolls

Further Comments: After dying a horrific death in 1616, Sir Augustine Nicolls is named as the ghost who haunts the tower (though others blame Judge Jefferies as the perpetrator).

Monk with Hurricane Lamp

Further Comments: A concerned lorry driver reported hitting a figure in a brown habit along this part of the road. Another couple out walking also saw the figure after sunset, carrying a bright light.

Further Comments: Jenny Randles claims that there were two missing time episodes during these decades.

Sarah Bradshaw

Further Comments: Sarah was accused of witchcraft and thrown into the village pond. She promptly sank to the bottom, proving that she was not guilty, and was saved before she drowned. Her ghost is reputed to still walk the area in protest of her draconian treatment.

Monks

Further Comments: A procession of monks reportedly walk along the road and driveway where this building stands, finally vanishing into a nearby brick wall on the opposite side of the street.

Midair Battle
Location: Naseby - Sky over site of the Battle of Naseby

Date / Time: 14 June (reoccurring)
Further Comments: Reported less frequently now, but for one hundred years after the battle, locals would sit on the nearby hills and watch the battle occur once again, complete with the sounds of men screaming and cannons firing. A photograph taken by the Northampton Paranormal Group on this date in 2008 may show a phantom soldier, though nothing was seen when the image was taken.

Crying Children

Further Comments: A former landlord and his wife reported hearing the cries of children and the smell of burning timber - it is speculated that this ghost sighting relates to the Great Fire of Northampton, when in 1675 the buildings around Market Square were burnt to the ground.

Possessed Cabinet
Location: Northampton - Birchfield Road East (private house), and 330 Wellingborough Road (Trends furniture shop)

Further Comments: This cabinet, sold to a house along Birchfield Road East, was quickly returned to the shop after the owner said that the figure of a woman dressed in 1930s clothing materialised several times by it. Similar occurrences happened at the shop after the cabinet came back.

Misty forms

Further Comments: Many of the pub's owners have reported lights that turn themselves on and off and pets that refuse to go into the basement. A misty man with a black dog was spotted in one room and a phantom woman was encountered on the stairs.

Further Comments: Black rain fell on the rectory, twenty four hours after the building had been shaken for an hour by a loud rumbling.

Further Comments: There have been several reports of the sounds of people moving around this building in the dead of night, even though it remains totally boarded up.

Further Comments: Built on the site of an old monastery, it was perhaps inevitable that the building would become haunted by the figure that has recently been seen by cleaning staff after shopping hours.

Lady with Gloves

Further Comments: This lady, dressed in black lacy dress with white gloves, was seen several times over a fifty year period.
