Further Comments: Said to reappear in the same spot since an accident in the 1920s which killed four people, this large steam locomotive gently glows in its foggy environment.

Morse Code
Location: Elsham Wold - Former RAF base and flight tower (no longer standing)
Type: Haunting Manifestation

Further Comments: A family living in the tower after the war reported hearing Morse messages being tapped out, seeing pilots dressed in flying gear, and even once watching a large aeroplane taking off from the disused runway, baring the code letters PM.

Jeffrey
Location: Epworth - Epworth Rectory

Further Comments: This building experienced phantom groaning, knocking, and invisible hands that pushed people around. Unlike most poltergeist cases, the entity also manifested in the form of a white figure and a headless badger. The presence left without warning.

Pale Rider

Further Comments: Passing through the castle park, a tall man riding a white horse has been seen. The castle itself is home to a green lady who is said to have committed suicide after her lover ran away.

Voices
Location: Fiskerton - Former RAF Fiskerton control tower (no longer standing)
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Post World War Two
Further Comments: Left empty a few years after the war, locals reported still hearing voices coming from the control tower. Figures in RAF uniform were also reported in the area, as were men dressed in aircrew gear. An inter-denominational prayer team visited the site in 2006, and no reports of haunting activity has been reported since.

Further Comments: This displaced animal was seen by several witnesses in different places, all within the same evening.

Woman in Black Dress
Location: Friskney - A52 road
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Early 1990s, October, early morning
Further Comments: A family of three travelling by car passed a woman wearing a Victorian-style dress walking along the roadside. She had long curly hair under a hat, and a face which glowed green. The car turned and drove passed her a second time before turning off the A52 and taking a different route.

Further Comments: A former castle on the site was attacked by a force from Denmark - the sound of their leader dying can still be heard today. Another ghost, the shadowy form of a lady, has been seen passing through walls on the site.

Further Comments: Another location that made it into the National Trust's top ten haunted locations in 2007, the Queen's Bedroom within Belton House is said to be haunted by a man dressed in black.

Tiny Harris

Further Comments: Joe 'Tiny' Harris, a former telephone operator during the Second World War, has been seen standing in the shadows, heard walking down corridors, and is blamed for flicking lights on and off.

Steam Train
Location: Grimoldby - Old railway line by the level crossing

Date / Time: 28 November 1961, 23:15h
Further Comments: Walking back to the nearby RAF base after visiting the chip shop, this witness watched a steam engine pulling a coal waggon and three coaches pass by the crossing. The train was silent and in total darkness, moving at fairly fast speed, with the only light being a dim glow from the fire on the footplate. When the witness mentioned the train back at the base, they were told they must have been dreaming, as the track had been pulled up. When the witness visited the site the following morning, they realised that the track was indeed gone.

Chimney Ghost

Further Comments: This spirit was far from friendly; it whispered to locals to kill their loved ones, and was blamed for an accident in the cottage that resulted in several deaths.

Further Comments: A landlady at the pub who died in 1918, Mrs Drayton presence is often felt, though falls shy of being seen.

Airman with Hand Grenade
Location: Grimsby - Former RAF Waltham (aka RAF Grimsby)

Further Comments: Several former pilots walk this old RAF base, both along the aging airstrips and the perimeter road. One of the ghosts that has chosen the perimeter to haunt is said to have blown himself up with a grenade after being declared unfit to fly. Another spirit has appeared by the memorial laid for the Number 100 squadron.

Further Comments: A family fled their council home after the resident ghost, described as an ugly old man dressed in a monk's habit, was blamed for turning gas taps on at night.

Further Comments: Mary Frost, the manager of the shoe shop, watched a white haired old man wearing yellow tweed 'Rupert the Bear' trousers walk through a wall. Other staff reported doors that opened and closed on their own accord and rows of shoes that fell down with no explanation.

Further Comments: The RAF denied that any of their aircraft were responsible for a mysterious loud bang heard over the town. The sound was said to have shaken some homes.

Further Comments: This female abductee reported watching a male human vivisected while she was on board the alien craft. Later the same day, several witnesses reported lights and strange shapes in the sky.

Further Comments: The ghost known as Gladys is thought to be that of an old woman who hanged herself. Two more spooks are reputed to haunt here - the phantom sounds of a horse and coach arrives outside the building, while in the same area, a hooded figure wearing a brown cloak haunts.

Old Locomotive

Further Comments: In 1956 the last train travelled along the Louth to Bardney line before it was declared uneconomically viable and closed. Even though the track was removed, people still claimed to hear the sound of an old train passing by at night for many years afterwards.

Black Dogs

Further Comments: These calf-sized dogs patrol the roads connecting the two villages. A woman who encountered one of the hounds is said to have lashed out at it with her umbrella, only for the object to pass straight through the creature.

Devil Speaking

Further Comments: Children would once poke pins into a boundary stone before running around it several times. After this they thought they could hear the Devil speaking from deep underground.
