Former Actress - St James's Theatre (no longer standing), King Street, SW1

A white clad ghost which haunted the long-gone St James's Theatre was thought to be an eighteenth century actress. An unknown presence would also hammer at dressing room doors, disappearing as soon as they were opened. After it was announced that the theatre would close in 1957, a man would be seen standing in the shadows, vanishing if approached.
